The Sioux County FFA Chapter received its charter in 1940. Since then we have carried on the tradition of career leadership, personal growth and career success. We take pride in our school and our community.
We have recently been planning our community service Adopt an Angel project, for when we go to the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, and play cards , games, and visit with the elderly. We are also planning a community service project for Christmas, with plans of decorating a tree in Harrison. We do many community service projects throughout the year, so we are always keeping busy. We also plan to deliver cookies around town to the seniors citizens, carol and decorate a place in town with lights.
FFA is not only about service but there are many great places to go and see. We recently just got back from the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN where there were 52,000 other blue jackets. We wore our colors proud as we walked up and down the streets of Indy. There was a lot of neat tours and new country to see.
We also take pride in many district contests that we participate in. We study and prepare weeks in advanced, with monthly meetings to check our progress. As our numbers at Sioux County continue to decrease we still continue to have a great bunch of kids that continue to work hard and wear the blue and gold with pride.
